This is a great thread. One exception being macro photographers who are appreciating the colours nature has to offer and pushing them to the limit.

How many spiders do you see?

Plenty of Megabunus diadema to be found on the mossy crags at Brockadale during a late night walk earlier this week.

Loads of bank holiday bees enjoying the sunshine in the garden this weekend. This one is, I think, a Red Mason Bee (Osmia bicornis).

It seems to be a good year for butterflies—this Small White was one of several species spotted in the garden yesterday. Has anyone else been seeing plenty of them?

If you're looking for a mate, you need to find her the perfect gift - preferably wrapped in silk. A male Nursery Web spider (Pisaura mirabilis) carrying a nuptial gift for a nearby female. BAS

A Xysticus crab spider. If you look closely, she seems to be missing an eye 🔎 BAS

Prediction: It's going to be a good year for ladybirds. The larvae are everywhere at the moment! Anyone remember the great ladybird plague of 1976? 😜🐞 #springwatch

Downy Jumping Spider (Attulus pubescens). A spider I don't see often but always enjoy photographing. BAS

Had an amazing opportunity to photograph cuckoos and kingfishers yesterday. Don't often do birds but such a privilege to spend a morning in the company of these beauties. Well worth the 4am start!

A sleeping Ruby Tailed Wasp taken on the recent trip to Burgos, Spain.

Striped Shieldbug (Graphosoma italicum, I think). A shieldbug I've never seen before but have been wanting to find. They were abundant in a patch I explored near Burgos with lots of mating pairs too.

The main reason I was in Burgos was to watch this superstar competing for Team England in the Dance World Cup. She came home with two medals. Proud dad! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏅🏅
