Core Aeration 2024 has commmenced. Good jump this evening by the guys, fingers crossed for a successful day tomorrow!!

Another day of sunrise to sunset workflow. Remaining greens 5/8” cored and all 19 greens worth of plug piles shoveled and blown. All top dressing is down. Thanks guys! Rest up. More to do tomorrow.

Already seeing good growth and recovery on our first weekend post aeration at Wedgewood Pines CC. I fully expect next wknd to be over 90% recovered & rolling beautifully. Roll only thru this wknd, collar/approach aeration Mon, then full force mowing to get us back in stride Tues.

Went quiet on the platform for a while with job transition but it’s time to bring back some Blazer and new course posts.

Couple more big pines removed today. First pine removed exposed some beautiful maples to highlight the edge of hole, 2nd removed brings morning sun to a wet fairway and eliminates a cart exit pinch point.

With weather not on our side the plan was just 1 large ash tree removal before the winds picked up. Wind got us during cleanup but these guys gave it their all and completed the job.

With some warm weather ahead, and nighttime lows not overly frigid we are starting the process of snowblowing 2-6”snow off a few of the necessary greens. 1.5-2.5” pocketed ice layer underneath now exposed ready for some sunshine and melting.

What a difference a week makes! Tree removals complete for the 24/25’ season. Stump grinding and cleanup to start next week. Tree debris and first course cleanup areas taking place this week.

Fingers crossed this is the last of the frigid nights to come for a bit, it’s amazing what a little warmth has done.
