Why does it matter? Life, language, and thought are a unity anyway. Besides, the prime thesis on the matter, Aristotle’s metaphysics, treats it in the modality of substance.

Why do you worry if a philosopher is wrong? Their goods are not predigested belief systems! Whether wrong or right, they open the only view to the cartography of the space of reasons, if we understand the argument - this leads to further discoveries, not to mere orthodoxy!

An excellent thread that puts omniscience in context, not just the deracinated Bayesian reasoning/frequentist anthropomorphized sense. Omne ens est verum—everything that is, is true: Knowability is then, a transcendental definition of everything which is.

Omniscience is thus to be taken primarily in supra-categorial sense, in the sense that knowabiIity is not, as it were, an attribute added to being ab extra, or merely its exterior relation to a cognition which is accidentally capable of grasping the relevant existent thing.

Again, all these affirming the Parmenides dictum—τὸ γὰρ αὐτὸ νοεῖν ἐστίν τε καὶ εἶναι—the Same is, to wit, Perceiving (Thinking) as well as Being.

A lot of (apparently) scandalous things follow from the idea that we are essentially souls and we are only bodies accidentally, especially with respect to what that means for deities that "kill".

Q: How can the genesis story be interpreted as detailing an eternal procession of Being? A: Days as symbol of Intellective hypostases. Light as symbol of intelligibility. Dark Waters as Prime matter. Sky as symbol of intelligible orientation. etc etc.

Wait... Something just came to mind. Neoplatonic "Being" as a Set? The notion of "elements" in set teory might converge with the notion of "all the Gods" as elements of Being.
