Ok, will government have the maturity to admit they’ve got it horribly wrong & that _maybe_ listening to thousands of scientists about what _will_ work, might be better? theguardian.com/australia-news… Or they could keep listening to those that only see questionable $$$$ opportunities.
Hmmm, Bernard Keane in today's Crikey completely misses the mark. The EPBC Act actually gives a Minister incredible discretion, creating plenty of opportunities for a Minister who actually wants to confront the climate crisis to do so. Nice attempt to make excuses. No dice.
This, alongside the sham of the #NatureRepairMarket & ongoing approval of fossil fuel expansion, needs to be the nail in the coffin of the idea that Anthony Albanese or Tanya Plibersek are in any way credible on the environment This is another ecocidal government theguardian.com/australia-news…
Excellent news. Govt has announced it will shelve Nature Repair Market Bill until at least end of the year. It needs to be dropped completely because it drives #Ecocide. It is bad policy based on Monetising #Nature. Thanks yungenchee.bsky.social Prof. Euan Ritchie (@euanritchie.bsky.social) @pollyjhemming #auspol
This was such a stimulating conversation with Anthony James for his wonderful #RegenNarration podcast. We talked about community, democracy, changing what’s possible, music and many more ideas emerging from my book, #LivingDemocracy. Give it a listen: regennarration.com/episodes/170-c…
