Hard to put into words what a joy yesterday was facilitating this team of incredible people at United Communities. Vision and mission statements, longer term strategic intent themes, celebrating their movement of community builders.

Managed to get myself to the gym and listened to an episode of Political Currency whilst doing a few weights

Morning spent with my M.P Liam Byrne MP at his funders fair. Great to talk to some key funders about ideas for social change and do a bit of connecting as well as catching up with Liam.

Simply incredible community awards evening and in particular celebrating my good friend and inspiration @rashtabutt as she won her category of bringing people together.

We are busy people but also do quite a bit together including supporting the work at Unity Hubb. So great to be out together at this awards evening with many of the team and Board

Playing bit of golf tomorrow between meetings so went out to hit a few balls this afternoon

Really pleased that our Isla is coming out regularly with us on our Sunday morning dog walks and breakfast

Yesterday was magical and poignant- celebrating the end of our 15 year Big Local journey. We told the story of the journey into being a more compassionate, contributing and connected community where people felt they could flourish and get support through the tough times.

What a tense evening and fair play to the Americans for playing so well from so far behind. 8 games went up the 18th as the momentum swung one way then another. Lowry with the putt to retain the cup was an emotional moment. Don’t think my game tomorrow will have the same impact!

This is a picture of our final FBNT Board meeting as our Big Local program finishes. Sharing stories, remembered those who’d been part of the journey, those we lost along the way. This community building stuff isn’t easy and we haven’t got everything right, but it’s also magical

Wonderful orientation session for our first accredited Change Makers cohort as they set out on their journey to a Certificate in Sustainable Community Leadership. Self awareness, compassion, innovation, resilience, developing and pitching a community change project idea
