In @timesdiary, President Donald J. Trump’s envoy Steven Witkoff tried to charm the French by telling them that the Èlysée Palace “looks like President Trump’s club in Mar-a-Lago”. At least one of the Élysée’s residents was executed for treason. I wonder how far could the analogy go?
