This tiny charity has almost single-handedly revolutionised the way many of us see choral repertoire in just a few years with their three volumes of music by women composers - it’s vital their work continues, do support them if you can!

Has anyone else got this? The first chapter is a v entertaining read as Parry gleefully trashes every composer pre-Josquin - gems such as ‘ludicrous to a modern ear’, ‘crude and barbarous’, and my fave: ‘the 14th century was barren of musical productions of any value’

Post Evensong yesterday at Newcastle Cathedral where St Gabriel’s Heaton, Newcastle sang Kerensa Briggs Gloucester Service which I’ve wanted to do ever since hearing them in World Cup of Evensong Canticles World Cup during the first Covid lockdown - still absolutely buzzing!
