The reason why the courts have said that reconciliation is a process with no end is because they mean it. The only way out of this mess is to amend the constitution to remove aboriginal title and all race-based distinctions from Canadian law. Dallas Brodie is the only elected

As I've said before, half my family is Haida, the others came from Scotland in 1840. The latter are not "settlers" or "colonists" That's a resentful, fake division that splits Canadians into villains and heroes. Reject it always.

The claim that First Nations holding underlying title would be no different from the Crown, is disingenuous at best. The Crown holds title in trust for the public—bound by fiduciary duty, law, and democratic accountability. First Nations owe no such duty to non-members.

The "settler" terminology is convenient for the ressentiment industry complex. It masks a pejorative, loaded label in academic, ostensibly neutral language. Call them out, and they will gaslight you by saying its merely a sociological term. They lie, and you ought to be aware.

Aaron Gunn isn’t exaggerating. This is an incredibly daft response to the question. When we are $1.3 plus trillion in debt, we have no business using tax payer money to build rinks and pools. Let alone trying to justify it economically.

One thing about the 1990s everybody forgets. It was *really hard* to be a dyspeptic, bigoted, chauvinist psycho in public. Now it's only a matter of selecting the right flag before doing it.

Caroline Elliott (@nvancaroline) 's Twitter Profile Photo

How about we just fly our own flags and stop this kind of pandering altogether? How about our public institutions exclusively fly our own governments’ flags: federal, provincial & municipal - and that’s it. No more activist causes. No more symbols representing those who hate

Good to see Mayor Brad West commit to protect public and private land from a claim by the Kwikwetlem First Nation over public land in the City of Port Coquitlam. I wish I could say I have confidence in whatever the BC government is negotiating behind closed doors, but their

“Why Was This Bill Blocked?” BC NDP and Green Party MLAs have just unanimously voted to stop my DRIPA Repeal & Reset Bill from even reaching Second Reading. What does that mean? It means they refused to even look at the bill, refused to even hear what the public has been

Hmmm... comments off Spencer? Your government has pursued legislation and policies that explicitly divide British Columbians in to two groups: indigenous and non-indigenous. In bizarre fashion, you seem to think that that approach leads to British Columbians 'coming

Did you know that the BC government *explicitly excluded* non-Indigenous stakeholders from discussing the "Indigenous values & rights recognition" aspects of its proposed Heritage Conservation Act "transformation project" in its previous engagement phase? These are the crucial
