Ponder. Denver Mayor (D) wants to add a 20% service charge on restaurant bills that make up for an imbalance in minimum wage. I've heard many who would reduce the tip by this 20%. Is this a strange way to take the impact out of a republican move to stop taxing tips?

If you think putting kids to bed is hard when the sun is up at 9pm. Just imagine how much fun it will be when they are getting up with the sun before 5am. Leave the system alone. It sucks for 4 days but works well the rest of the year.

Student Loan problem.... It's becoming clear that one of the issues to be addressed is the minimum payments are too low. Arbitrarily changing terms of existing loans stinks, so leave those alone, but for future loans the lender should mandate no less than interest + 50% each

Common sense vs bureaucracy. Easy to get it wrong. Do you want things spelled out, or do you trust the officials to use their concept of common sense?
