Without a doubt. When I was at the IMF I worked on plenty of low-income countries. The corruption I saw was far less than under the Trump regime.

In a similar vein, sometimes surprised that the anti-income tax crowd doesn't view China as a model -- only collects 1 pp of GDP in personal income tax, which is incredibly low. Functionally limits social spending/ welfarisim as well

Marcelo Starcenbaum I don’t understand your question. Are you saying that a “global” “history of capitalism” is redundant? I disagree. It’s totally possible to write a history of capitalism that is less than global—it’s not necessary that every book do everything; that would be ridiculous.
