A2: Positive behaviors incentives can look so different for each student depending on what motivates them and is age appropriate. Students who are always doing the right thing are great models for narrating the positive in a classroom to reinforce good behavior. #TXed

It is important for staff to know the students they support and for students to know their peers on a deeper level. Being aware of differences is something that has to be taught.

A2: Hosting different family nights is way to bring families together from different cultures and backgrounds. In classrooms even something as simple as a show and tell that is focused on telling the class something about your family can have an impact. #TXed

#TXed A1: formative assessment practice helps drive our instruction as educators. And students practicing gives them exposure to the testing platform from format to question types and rigor.

#TXed A3: One of the many ways is to use resources that have the same verbiage as STAAR. We also cannot expect students to just know how to tackle STAAR rigor. We have to start with modeling how to utilize testing strategies.

#TXed A4: building the assessments together ensures that the grade level is calibrated. After you build it together after reviewing how it will potentially be tested. Then you teach, again using the same vocabulary, graphics, and question stems, etc. All of this=prepared students
