I have a housing affordability & vacancy crisis joke but it’s too tall, casts shadows, isn’t right fit for the neighbourhood, will magically drive up local rents, is too ’luxury’/isn’t affordable enough (except compared to single detached homes), and be better if built elsewhere.

Is this classism in action? Covid-19 threatens business and wealthy interests and overdose crisis does not? Are there government leaders who actually care? Because I don’t believe it based on their actions?
