“Bike accident” is if you fall over or get tangled with another bike. NOT crushed by a 4-7,000 lb hunk of metal with a blotto ‘driver’. Why can’t news media report things correctly?!?

Here in Illinois, we're building a clean energy future where everyone can thrive.   Thanks to our CEJA and Equitable Energy Future Grant Program, we're leaning into that future by training a diverse and skilled workforce that will power our growing clean energy ecosystem.

Volvo's new #ElectricTruck showing up in 2025 will go up to 373 miles, about double what their current semi model does. Enough to get from #Chicago to Detroit, Indy, St. Louis, and almost to the TwinCities without stopping. insideevs.com/news/732474/ne…

A reminder that the US has the most dangerous roads in the developed world because we have normalized driver lawlessness. Our news agencies are more concerned about the convenience and property of drivers than the mobility, health or safety of people on foot, bike or transit.

Bloomberg: June-August 2024 =hottest 3 summer months on record worldwide. Mississippi River is so low shipping is being curtailed (again). Maybe its time to get #ZeroEmission car & truck rules in place in #IL? Y'know cut CO2 emissions driving the problem? chicagobusiness.com/climate/drough…

Published/peer rev'd study: Does long-term exposure fine particulate matter (PM2.5) affect fertility? YEP -PM2.5 raises infertility risk in men by 24% when exposure is higher than average. CleanTruckRule in IL/more electric trucks would cut that soot! theguardian.com/society/articl…

My hot water heater is set lower than this. We NEED to cut #GlobalWarming. Moving transportation away from oil & towards #ZeroEmission electric cars and trucks is critical. IL can join many other states in adopting rules that make more such vehicles available for sale HERE. #EVs

Good EV news! #Chicago just got $15m grant to build out 'community level' charging, working with local organizations to site locations so those w/o personal garages can charge their #EVs. Some Chicago Public Library locations too! chicago.gov/city/en/depts/…
