Bullet Time didn’t leave that much of an impression on me. It just felt like a showcase for really cool animation without much narrative or personalities to really string it all together. Its like you managed to wrangle up all these really cool people I from other stuff,Now what?

Im really not trying to be a dick, these guys worked hard but compare it to a cartoon with a similar style Stavros the Great. In that cartoon I felt like I got out of it what I wanted. A fresh hilarious character that facilitated a funny story with a sense of progress/structure.

Bullet Time kinda meanders until Bullet wins the gaming tournament. In a lot of the promotional material I’m seeing this being branded as “Totally Insane!” But what does that even mean? Clampett was insane but the emotional highs and lows were the real meat of his films.

I’m not trying to be negative this was just my knee jerk reaction to it after first viewing and my opinion may change. This was episode 1 after all and it is hard making a cartoon on pare with something from 90s Spumco and its other influences.
