The number one request I saw in #EmberJS2018 discussion was "let me just import from NPM". Turns out that wasn't hard to implement. I spent half a day and *bam*, you're welcome. Should work in any existing ember app: github.com/ef4/ember-auto…

I'm speaking about tracking #EmberJS app latency at the SV Ember.js meetup meetup on August 28th LinkedIn Engineering! Join us to learn how to break down your load times with enough granularity to identify problematic routes and components that are impacting your perf: jhawk.co/ember-sv-aug-18

Big thanks to Travis Hoover from LinkedIn for adding external module support to our automation library, Scripty! Now teams will able to easily specify and reuse package scripts across all the modules in their organization! 💚 More detail in the docs: buff.ly/2ysv5DU

Being a long-time user of #emberjs, it's really exciting to hear this: bit.ly/2RcQqJD "[...] in 2017 and 2018 it's [Ember] is making a comeback. This is really unusual, I've never seen a framework bounce back before, but now Ember is seeing really healthy growth."

Jake Archibald Henrik Joreteg While your "app" paints quickly around the globe, not everyone is a native English speaker. Was neglecting basic i18n support done out of "carelessness?"

Now’s probably a good time to share something I’ve been working on lately with a few colleagues at LinkedIn Engineering: a new version manager for Node and Node-based tools. Still a work in progress but it's starting to look promising! github.com/notion-cli/not…

Notion is now Volta! The 0.5 release comes with a new name and lots of new functionality. If you've ever been frustrated at having to remember which version of Node to use, or find yourself constantly reinstalling JS tools after Node upgrades, check it out!

Just posted the first draft of Ember's 2018-2019 Roadmap RFC. High-level goals: * Reducing the size and conceptual complexity of Ember. * Improving ease of adoption. github.com/emberjs/rfcs/p…

If you use JS and still install Node from the web site or homebrew or the like, now’s a great time to try Volta: The Hassle-Free JavaScript Tool Manager. It only takes a minute to install and then quietly and seamlessly eliminates pointless busywork from your workflow.
