At Thomas Maker starting singing bots with Micro:bit Educational Foundation for our Halloween jam

The Tinkering Studio Thomas Maker Micro:bit Educational Foundation Yes we do! :) Planning a session with students. Pairs will make a singing bot. The class will make one for the whole group with features from each of the pair work. In the end, bots from 8 groups will sing in a chorus. Thanks for the inspiration. Sora Lacerda Thomas Maker

Not so chill walking around at Thomas Maker lately as kids learn how to make Arduino and Micro:bit Educational Foundation spooky Halloween projects.

Today I have to thank @atragg and Moving Toys Workshop for their inspirational work on paper/cardboard construction, which was the base of our last teacher development session. Great way to send 2022 off! Our teachers loved it and came up with awesome ideas for next year!

CTJ teachers came up with their own paper construction techniques rubrics, based on @atragg ideas.

In the end they thought about a symbolic representation to create a classroom artifact combining the techniques they've explored, and reflected upon how they could use them with their students.

Oh, Moving Toys Workshop, how inspiring are your whimsical whirligigs little creatures. I'm in love. Thanks for sharing and for reminding us maker educators that there is indeed movement, poetry, fun and life beyond making with electronics components. Made Thomas Maker ...
