This is what will matter 1000 years from now. Not your politics. Not your stupid tantrums about who platformed who on some website. Not your incomprehensible desire to send NASA's entire budget to the third world. This guy reignited the Space Age. He spent his own money,

Boom! We cracked it! Today we are introducing Boomless Cruise—supersonic flights up to 50% faster with no audible sonic boom. We quietly (har har) demo'd this on XB-1's first supersonic flight—three times actually. 🧵👇

I finished implementing stretchable arrows in Radical Pie today. I may have gone a little nuts with the features, but they turned out really well. Generally, there can be one or more horizontal rules stacked up, and each one has a list of "charms" at each end and in the center.

I read this article about software development, which I knew about because I saw Prime reacting to it: notashelf.dev/posts/curse-of… For the most part I think it is fine: a relatively young programmer is doing the healthy work of introspecting on what he should really be doing. But

RIP to Bill Atkinson, one of the greatest programmers who ever lived. At Apple he created MacPaint, QuickDraw, HyperCard and was a critical part of making the Macintosh magic. He co-founded General Magic - go watch that documentary.

Turbo Pascal was the first coding app on the PC that was truly fast and flawlessly integrated. It allowed me and 1000's of other coders back then to create games and other types of programs much more quickly than before. Every single game I personally wrote and released publicly

I was at my bank today, and there was just an Asian lady ahead of me... She was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated. She asked the teller, "Why it change? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen. Today I only get hunat eighty? Why it
