It is with great sadness that I share with you the passing of Britt Allcroft. The Allcroft-Wright family has asked me to bring this news to the Thomas fandom. A full obituary will be released in the London Times later today. The family is currently in mourning and asks that

If Britt Allcroft’s Thomas thought me anything, it’s that magical things exsist in those who believe. Britt believed in these talking trains as much as we all did watching them as children. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for her, Thank you Britt for making us believe.

My children, nieces and nephews all grew up with Thomas & Friends, and how many kids wanted to own all of the train sets! Wholesome, lovely characters and stories. Thank you, Britt. RIP.

Top Gun (1985) Val Kilmer has about 10 minutes screen time in Top Gun. That's how good he was. Top Gun was also released just one year after Real Genius, Val moved from goofy teen movies to the coolness of Iceman without even breaking a sweat. He was incredible. RIP, Val Kilmer
