Create an environment where openness and honesty in all aspects of communication are encouraged. Ask people to share their views and talk about the obstacles in their way. Ask for (and listen to) feedback. Don’t be afraid to ask questions yourself.

Belonging is the feeling of security and support when there is a sense of acceptance, inclusion, and identity. It is when an individual can bring their authentic self to work. When employees feel like they don't belong at work, their performance and their personal lives suffer.

Change is hard. Whether welcomed or not, it has its challenges. Continuous change over an entire teaching career can take its toll. understanding what change fatigue is, the effects it can have on teachers, and developing strategies to actively manage stress.

Work–life balance is the equilibrium between work and personal life, including family, leisure, and health. It's not about splitting time equally between work and leisure, but rather feeling fulfilled in both areas.

Student discussions promote active learning, and increase metacognition.  When students engage in conversations with other students, their ideas naturally begin to build.  They hear different perspectives, clarify their own thinking, and solidify their own point of view.

People want to be trained to do their jobs, and then they want to be trusted to do them when you're not around. Empower your people. Trust their strengths. That’s how real leaders scale.

Go slow to go fast" means that taking your time to plan, prepare, and understand a situation thoroughly can lead to greater efficiency and success in the long run. It's about intentionally slowing down to avoid mistakes, improve focus, and build a solid foundation.

Good instruction is clear, concise, and easily understood, providing all necessary details for a task. It should be specific and avoid jargon. Effective instruction also involves clear communication, engaging activities, varied methods, and feedback.
