In response to escalating humanitarian needs in #SouthSudan, we have stepped up our surgical capacity. We also continue our dialogue with the parties to the conflict to remind them of their obligations under IHL and sensitize them about humanitarian principles.

Cluster munitions cause extensive civilian casualties and long-lasting problems. Today marks 17 years of the Convention on Cluster Munitions that prohibits the use, production, stockpiling, & transfer of those weapons and requires States to ensure they claim no further victims.
