A pleasing ground beetle from surveys last week - the scarce Panagaeus bipustulatus. Biology more-or-less unknown. Might eat snails. Might be a parasitoid of chrysomelids. Brownfield habitat that was a pulverised fuel ash dump for 150 years and then landfill.
