On this day 16 years ago, Florida State volleyball opened ACC play with a home sweep of rival Miami. The Seminoles didn't allow more than 20 points in any set. Rachael Morgan, Jordana Price and Brianna Barry each finished with eight kills. Taylor Wilson led FSU with 12 digs.

On this day 32 years ago, Florida State women's golf won the Seminole Invitational. FSU finished two strokes better than second-place Furman. Maria Castellucci and Karen Stupples each finished tied for fourth to lead FSU. FSU had four players finish in the top 15 individually.

On this day 22 years ago, Florida State football beat Colorado, 47-7. Chris Rix threw for 394 yards and two touchdowns to Craphonso Thorpe. Thorpe (205 yards) and P.K. Sam (119 yards) had big receiving days. Kamerion Wimbley led FSU with four TFL, two sacks and a forced fumble.

What a badass day this was. They threw that go route to Jeremy Bloom closing it 10-7 and the one Colorado fan in our section stood up talking shit. I told him that’s all you’ll get…sit your ass down. He was gone by the start of the 3rd.
