Want to join us on our mission to develop novel therapies? We are looking for a motivated biochemist/biophysicist for a leadership role in drug discovery. Deeply embedded BCMHouston & Texas Medical Center; great opportunity to make a difference in patients lives bit.ly/3vplV9n
Congrats to Lukas Simon, THINC Therapeutic team's Group Leader of Computational Biology, on his promotion to Assistant Professor!
Today is AUG (start translation codon ;-) 1st! Our faculty welcomed new BCMHouston students by celebrating #RNAday together!
Rumor is Houston Astros trying to recruit our faculty Jeremy Wilusz after impressive performance during our THINC get-together including students, staff & faculty at last nights Sugar Land Space Cowboys win!
Shoutout: The Pillon Lab lab is fascinated w ribonucleases. These enzymes are fundamental for life, yet it’s unclear how they precisely cut their cognate RNA targets. The lab focusses on ribonuclease regulation to understand how it promotes health & contributes to disease.
We are thrilled to have hosted our first annual “Science and Sip” THINC poster session! Congratulations to our trainee winners Ashley (Hayden) Monahan, PhD Ashley Hayden from @AreyLab, Courtney Chambers Courtney Chambers from H. Courtney Hodges and Ritwika Bose from the lab of Tony Mustoe!
Congratulations to a new BCMHouston & Texas Children's faculty member, Dr. @BoeynaemsSteven, for receiving a CPRIT grant award to further his studies on how organisms respond to different types of cellular #stress! More: bit.ly/3Zzpp6w
