Celebrations Public and Private: a curatorial talk with Sandra Rux at the Warner House at 5:30 on Thursday June 14. Light refreshments will be served. The cost is $10 ($35 for the entire series of 5 lectures) and is free for Warner House members.

On August 23, 2018 at 5:30 PM, curator Sandra Rux will talk about the Colonial Revival period when Evelyn Sherburne & her nephew Thomas Wibird Penhallow entertained antiquarians who wrote about & photographed the house—expanding knowledge of it beyond NH.

On 10/5/2018 at 5:30 PM at the Warner House, Richard Nylander and Judy Groppa will speak on the Marquis de Lafayette’s trip to Boston and Portsmouth as part of his 13-month tour of the US in 1824 & 1825.. A free event—donations are welcome.

The Warner House End-Of-Season Party Sunday, October 14, 2018 3 to 5 PM. Join us for an end-of-season party to celebrate meeting the Front Door Funding Challenge & completing the Wallpaper project in the front bedchamber. Swing by this Sunday afternoon & enjoy your house.

Mugs, Jugs, & Monarchs: Observations on Stoneware, 1600-1775. On 7/17 at 5:30 PM, Carolyn Roy explores stonewares produced in the 17th &18th centuries. Commercially desirable, leak and temperature resistant, it could be thinly potted with or without detailed decorative motifs.

After much study and research, priming has begun on the southwest bedchamber, which appears to have been a shade of Prussian blue after mid-18th century. Adelphi wallpaper will complete the room later this summer.
