Congratulations to DC Fire and EMS Department Fire Chief John Donnelly, who was named Fire Chief of the Year by the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association at their 2025 annual meeting. The “Metro” Chiefs are a section of the NFPA and IAFC, and include chiefs from around the world. #DCsBravest

On June 15, 2025, 1:00pm, the DC Fire and EMS Department in conjunction w/ Friendship Fire Assn and @dcfireemsfoundation will reenact The Last Run of the #DC fire horses to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the original Last Run. The ceremony will take place along the same #CapitolHillDC route as it did in 1925.
