This week at Forest School, our brave explorers tried the hammock! 🌳💤 With trees for support and careful steps, they relaxed under rustling leaves. Ms. Burn tested it first—“like a pea in a pod!” one giggled. We couldn’t agree more! 😄🌿 #ForestSchool #OutdoorLearning

Owl Class have arrived safe and sound and even though it is a bit drizzly we are having a great time so far!!

We had a lovely visit from the NSPCC today where the children learnt about how to keep safe and also made some great 'buddy' pictures!

5LC had a great end to the end of their meteorology unit today! They had to write a weather report using key vocabulary like weather fronts, air masses and cumulonimbus clouds!

Huge thanks to Dunstable Food-bank collecting our Harvest Festival donations today — we filled the van! 🚐💪 They said it was their biggest donation yet and that they’re “very proud of The Vale.” 💛 Great job to our Head Boy & Head Girl on their first official duty! 👏🌾

🌿 Mental Health Day at The Vale Academy 🌿 We had the best time out in nature, meditating, fun activities, and talking about why mental health matters 💚🧘‍♂️🌞

Years 4–6 had an amazing assembly with Olympic champion Beth Tweddle! 🏅 She spoke about the importance of exercise & healthy eating—and even wowed everyone with the splits at the end! What an inspiration to have an Olympic medalist in school! 🤸‍♀️💪

Owl Class have been in a rush to create some fabulous hats during Forest School! Using tape and a keen eye for nature, we gathered leaves, twigs, and other treasures to decorate our headwear.

A massive thank you to our amazing community! 💚 Together we donated 367.2kg of food to Dunstable Foodbank — enough to make 600+ meals for local families and children in need. 🌾💛
