Richard Wellings It's dystopian to allow incompetent drivers on the road. If high-tech cameras nudge incompetent drivers out of their cars, that's a good thing for competent drivers & their families. Do you prefer a low-tech approach of Graduated Driving Licences for teens?

If a person can't handle driving slowly in a city because of all the people walking and riding bikes, that person should not be driving in a city.

New car technology is designed to make corporations money. Pedestrian infrastructure is designed to improve lives.

I have a belief that people don't want to be driving. Stories like this reinforce my belief.

Go read the book by Michael Bond, "From Here to There, The Art and Science of Being Lost." in that book, he'll describe how kids lack the ability of wayfinding as adults when driven to school. He'll also show how being lost affects your decision making skills in a negative way.
