Foundations of Phenomenological Music Models (PMMs) are taking shape in the space after the LLM bubble. I'll be unveiling the PMM concept and more at an upcoming lecture on, "Cybernetics, Phenomenology & Teleolgy" Details soon.

I tell my students if they study one thing in depth from my classes make it cognitive biases. Read the wiki description of each and you'll understand yourself better. Spend an hour on each and you'll understand the world better. Research each one in depth and you'll do magic.

Hey DeSci - as announced at our recent PraxSci DeSAI conference, barracuDAO is now live! Science first DeSci is the tortoise 🐢 that beats the DeFi first hare 🐇 Thanks to Ethereum Daily for the shout out

Touch grass. Hear water. I gave my Phenomenology undergrad students an assignment to walk in nature (green or blue) for 30 minutes sans phone/headphones. The biggest surprise for me is how surprised they were by the positive impact. Touch grass. Hear water. No joke.

Worth noting also that Vitalik was also a founding editor at the blockchain journal Ledger which started in 2016. He certainly read many of the submissions that informed his ideas (both direct citation and background influence). ledgerjournal.org/ojs/ledger

Speed running all of neuroscience in 45min? Sure I teach "Psych as Human Science" in a phenomenologically focused psych dept. Students asked me to condense my previous "Brain, Behavior & Cognition" course into a single lecture. We are doing this next week instead of a midterm.

Gary Marcus Matt Walsh I'm proposing (and defining, structuring, planning, building, etc.) teleological intelligence as an alternative. We do what we can. x.com/TheUnjournalin…

From a DeSci perspective, yesterday made it pretty clear what is DeFi with a sciency wrapper and what is focused on science first. TradSci is watching the sorting.

If journal impact factor is the measure of quality, you are merely accelerating the flaws in the system AI Sci Slop is hastening the downward spiral. This might be good in the long run (if we have a better system to move to), but it is not a short term gain nor a long term

Eve Watson gave a brilliant lecture on Lacan and Merleau-Ponty last night at Duquesne. She was also insightful and gracious to answer my questions on cybernetic tie-in with phenomenology, specific to L&M-P. More connections between the two are shaping my vision of teleological
