This is a WZ63 paratrooper helmet, commonly called an East German Paratrooper helmet. Poland, not East Germany, produced these. This particular one is a Diensteinheit IX helmet. They cut out the ear protection and added a chin cup from a motorcycle helmet, replacing the leather
