New research w/ Ken Bond just out in Irish Naturalist INJ-Journal.
When the non-native range of an invasive plant & insect converged in Ireland, we observed (for the 1st time) the Myriophyllum genus being used as a host by the invasive pest E. postvittana.

Yet another important piece of Cork City's public realm - 150m of waterfront - disposed of in the interest of private development. One response is not an effective public consultation by Cork City Council.
Its a case of death by a thousand cuts for Cork. irishexaminer.com/news/munster/a…

Garden Lady’s-mantle Alcemilla mollis is an attractive garden plant native to the Carpathians where it is uncommon. In Britain it has become super abundant since it was first recorded in the wild in 1948. Why is it a problem? A thread 1/7

Lord bless and save the single income public sector botanists 🙋.

We don't stand a chance compared to those dual income nurse-garda power couples!
