this is such a tough situation. I absolutely appreciate the sims team standing by the lgbt couple on the box art and refusing to change it but this ultimately hurts russian lgbt players who now can’t get the game as a result. There’s really no winning.

I feel like however we look at the situation we can never win. We can't win if we have to bend and change the cover art. We can't win if we exclude a whole country from getting the content that's supposed to represent freedom of choice. No matter what, we always end up losing.

And also I'm not in any way saying that it should be banned elsewhere, it's really horrible experience and i wish that only we will experience this and receive our good ending, why it's only Russia? There are many homophobic countries, but you're banning it only here? That's bad.

I don't know if i should laugh at this nonsense or cry from this 'idgaf' from the EA.

I just want to say... Being queer and having grown up in the middle east, I know what it feels like to be closeted for your own safety. Your own silence is deafening and it's an incredibly isolating and terrifying experience. My heart goes out to the Russian LGBTQ+ community.
