I've been lucky enough to listen to Nik Bartsch's Ronin's new album for a couple of weeks now. Today, however, I wanted to revisit this old fave from 2010.

When he was studying in Paris in 1900, Gerald Festus Kelly was introduced to the work of John Singer Sargent. Six decades later, his technique was still having a strong influence on Kelly's portraiture; evident in this picture of the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams from 1961.
