The IMAX Lincoln Center has served me well for many years. Sone say it’s the best screen in North America. Looks like the last movie we’ll see there before moving to LA (where I hear they have some pretty cool theaters) is Avatar 3. I am *unironically* thrilled by this. NNTR.

Well, we just rented our first house in LA. It’s a temp for 2 mos in Studio City while we look for more permanent digs in the area (or maybe decide to stay in this one). We’re driving cross country over the holidays & will be Californians (again) by New Year’s Day…

Saddened by the news of Tom Stoppard’s passing. Possibly the greatest playwright of his era—definitely the most playful. ‘Shakespeare in Love’ is full of clever tributes for Bard fans, plus this gem: for anyone who’s acted, it’s the truest line about theatre ever written.

Not sure why he felt the need to front load his very positive take with “it feels too familiar.” It *is* the 3rd picture. It should feel like a stranger? His peers almost unanimously seem to agree that Avatar 3 rocks. Why so hesitant to admit he liked it, he liked it?
