This spring the Most Vulnerable People program launched a therapeutic gardening program, using large garden boxes in the courtyard. This has been a wonderful addition to the program, as many clients can now engage with care providers in a very approachable & therapeutic manner!

The Downtown Salt Lake Community Shelter was established in 1988 serving families, and adult men and women. One of our favorite spaces at that facility was the courtyard that had a playground and a playhouse where the children were able to enjoy themselves!

Last year we provided approximately 394,800 nights of emergency shelter and 562,700 nights of housing to people experiencing homelessness in our community.

At the downtown Salt Lake Community Shelter, we had many amazing art collectives, groups & volunteers work with the kids staying with their families in shelter to create each mural. When we left, we were able to take the murals. We are grateful to have such memorable reminders!
