The 20 year old gunman in Pennsylvania wasn’t old enough to rent a car, but he was old enough to buy a semiautomatic rifle.

The NRA’s extremist agenda ensured a 20 year old would-be assassin had access to a weapon of war, rendering even the most highly trained security forces incapable of protecting anyone—from school children to former presidents.

Armed security didn’t stop the gunman at a store in Buffalo or a nightclub in Orlando. They couldn’t prevent shootings at schools in Santa Fe, Parkland or Uvalde. And now, even Secret Service couldn’t stop a shooting at a political rally in Pennsylvania. It’s the fucking guns.

As a symbol of their commitment to gun extremism, last year some Republican members of Congress proudly wore these lapel pins shaped like an AR-15, the same weapon a 20 year old just used in Pennsylvania to try and assassinate their presidential candidate.
