Rules for explosive development, especially if you’re 35+. 1) Speed first. 2) Speed second. 3) Strength third. Translation: Play ball before you squat. Clean before you squat. Sprint before you squat. Activate your fast twitch muscles first, then work ‘em out. #onthehouse

If I watch another YT video of someone selling you on how to increase your vertical with their BS program, I’m going to spit up. Damn world, I’m 40 years old and still improving my power. I’m laying it out in my next tweets. #nobroscience #onthehouse #keepitreal #brickxbrick

Tip 1: Sprint. Before you even touch a weight bar, recognize that the bar is just a means to an end: To run fast and jump high. Sprinting is the best plyometric exercise. Period. It’s also a great hip, hamstring, and calf activator. #onthehouse #nobroscience #keepitreal

Tip 2: Speed before strength. Hit the bar AFTER activating your fast twitch. So, play ball, sprint, or clean FIRST. If you activate your fast twitch fibers, you’ll train your fast twitch fibers. Train fast. Be fast. #nobroscience #tryme #keepitreal

Tip 3: Squat. High-barn, Low-bar, or Front. Do them all. Just do them more often than not after you’ve done some kind of speed work. Down to parallel. Below parallel is fine, too, but obsessing over ATG is not necessary. 5 reps is overkill, too. #nobroscience #tryme #onthehouse

Tip 4: Obsess over your hamstrings. Stretch them. Strengthen them. Recover. Athletes don’t pop glutes, they pop or slip HS’s. High and low. More later, but Deadlifts, GMs, and GluteHam Raises will improve your sprints and one leg leaps. No leg curl machine!! #youlisteningyet #aye

RANDOM: I would like to see the word “mixtape” retired and replaced with something more accurate and reflective of today’s digital medium. How about mixcomp? Or how about, just compilation? #whynot #SomethingNew #NewDay #newgen #tryitout

Rarely mention too personal stuff, but this resonates. I’ve been using Magic Shave since middle school. Shaving has always been a chore. Use a razor = cherry patch. I’ve only used a razor maybe 10 times in my life. Every time, disaster. Little things that no one knows. #aintlife

Technique check 1,2,one,two ya’ll. Anatomy of partial success and partial failure. How can we improve both pulls? It’s a long way down when you’re 6-5. Zack Telander Holla back! #TallGuyTwitter #SquadGoals #goforit #brickbybrick #ownit #getlow

After taking a quick break from Twitter to add to the family, back on the grind. #newweight #newgains #stillontrack. Can we keep the pace? #stepbystep
