Today marks the first chapter of #ThePearlCLT with Atrium Health & WexfordSci&Tech breaking ground on Wake Forest University School of Medicine Charlotte. The Wexford “Knowledge Community” will integrate research, clinical expertise, entrepreneurial activity, corporate engagement and community inclusion.

Charlotte’s skyline is getting a makeover as “The Pearl” innovation district begins to take shape. The Howard R. Levine Center for Education will stand at its heart, proclaiming Charlotte to be a national hub of life-science education, research and entrepreneurship.
