The notion that there’s a cohort of “true trans” people who are separate from the cohort of people who’ve gotten ‘caught up in a social contagion’ is FALSE. Trans has always been a social contagion. The spread used to be through newspapers- now it’s spread on the internet.

Blocking a man’s testosterone & pumping him full of estrogen will make him weaker. But it won’t make him a woman. Women aren’t chemically weakened men. It is not fair for a man to compete against women under any circumstances.

Yes, puberty sucks. Do you know what sucks even more than puberty? NOT going through puberty. Avoiding 5 years of developmental discomfort at the cost of emerging into adulthood without sexual function, strong bones, or fertility is an outrageous proposition to put on a child.

A child less than 8 will truly believe adults who tell them that when they are older "the doctors" will change their sex. We can't.

Blocking a child’s puberty is done to ‘protect’ a child from temporary discomfort. However, the consequences of doing so are permanent. We need to give kids chances to develop resilience, not to permanently stunt them because we can’t deal with their temporary discomfort.

Maia’s right… My son could pick out and name logical fallacies quicker than anyone I know at age 12. Why? We taught him. There are fun books for this for kids. I give him kudos if he does it to me or “my side” as well.
