Been enjoying this match mainly over the past two days. Could be set for a thrilling finale if the weather continues to behave.

One of our greatest competitions kicked off this past weekend in the form of the Village Cup. There were three Preliminary Round winners and I believe some other games are rescheduled for this coming weekend. Voneus Village Cup 🏏

As I searched for a full days play I found myself at Headingley yesterday, as Yorkshire laid the foundations against Derbyshire. Always a privilege to see Root and Brook bat as they hit hundreds. Superb rearguard from Derbyshire after losing three early wickets. 190-3 at close.

Another visit to Wantage Road yesterday on a glorious sunny day. Northants still require 414 runs to claim an unlikely win on the final day. Gloucestershire require eight wickets as the hosts finished on 144-2.

Northamptonshire lost their last 6 wickets for just 35 runs to end up 301 all out. Gloucestershire pick up a huge win by a margin of 256 runs. Popped in for the morning session where Procter and Nair looked assured but gave away their wickets cheaply. No back up from the rest.

Haven’t been the best at updating my travels this year, but here’s a couple of photos from this weekend. First two are Weekley & Warkton (Northants Division 1) & followed by Desborough Town (Northants Premier) where Peterborough Town faced Kislingbury Temperance in a T20 game.
