It’s crazy how easy it would’ve been to stay faithful to the original Halo CE aesthetics. The blueprint was right there, simple, bold, iconic. You don’t need to reinvent perfection.

when i played halo ce for the first time i couldn't figure out how to change my resolution so i just played the whole thing in 4:3 and i think that's the best decision i ever made

kinda tired of ex bungie devs shitting on 343/HS by going “oh at bungie we had a rule not to do that” like ok? doesn’t mean every studio with the series has to have that rule, and you didn’t follow it very well anyway

Fun fact, I have a little cousin who experienced Halo backwards. Didn't play the games, read a ton of books beforehand starting with Cryptum. The look on his face when we co-op'd all the games and the Didact showed up? Priceless.

Also shows how fucked humanity was lol. Look at the size of the frigate vs the Carrier. When Miranda says she doesn’t have the tonnage to stay in the fight at the Ark she wasn’t kidding lol.

I wish Master Chief's story ended with Halo 3, it would've been poetic for him to leave the franchise the same way he came in, via cryo "Wake me, when you need me" as a final line also gives him a mythical status, the eternal warrior who slumbers until the world needs him most

Changing the line to "I need a weapon" for aimless fanservice is emblematic of Halo Infinite's existence as a safe regurgitation of everything that came before it without understanding what anything it reuses means, robbing itself of its chance to do anything memorable of its own

After feedback on the last post (thank you!) I gave Guilty Spark's color and glow some adjustments closer to vanilla/CE for Ruby of Blue 's Halo 2: REBALANCE. Thoughts?
