The Nature Library is heading to Kirkwall as part of the Orkney Nature Festival 13-19 May!

Installed at St. Magnus Cathedral, it’ll be curated around the habitats, species and topics throughout the programme, and it’s a dream programme.

Yesterday (how nice, how aligned, if it’d have been today) while reading Brian Dillon’s Suppose a Sentence, I reached his essay on one from my favourite Annie Dillard essay (which is not the source of my favourite Annie Dillard sentence), Total Eclipse.

Interested in any writings on the impact of war on the environment, whether that’s direct destruction of land or a divergence of funding towards military and away from climate change mitigation. Thank you in advance and free Palestine.
