I was honored to be part of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Change of Command, transitioning leadership from Adm. John Aquilino to Adm. Sam Paparo. The dedicated professionals of Indo-Pacific Command play a pivotal role in promoting peace and stability and advancing a free and open region.

On Friday, the Vice Chairman visited Auburn University and met with leaders, faculty, and students who are advancing innovative engineering research. He also presided over a commissioning ceremony for 19 Navy ROTC graduates. Congrats to these new Navy and Marine Corps officers!

Today, alongside Japanese Minister of Defense Minoru Kihara & Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Gen Yoshihide Yoshida, I paid my respects at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. A solemn moment to honor the memory of those who served and sacrificed for our Nation.

The Vice Chairman highlighted the essential contribution of military families at the Easterseals Advocacy Awards ceremony on Wednesday. Military families are a pillar of strength, resilience and unwavering support for Service members across the Joint Force.
