The school board will hold a Special Called meeting on Thursday, May 19 at 3 PM at 414 4th Ave. West, Hendersonville. The purpose of the meeting will be to hold a closed session for personnel matters regarding the Superintendency of HCPS; open session action is anticipated.

Mark Garrett will succeed Dr. John Bryant as HCPS' 7th Superintendent, effective July 1, the BOE announced today. Garrett is currently the Superintendent of McDowell County Schools, where he has served since 2013. See the full press release online at HCPSNC.org.
