I feel Rory McIlroy is a legit contender at the PGA Championship next month. It will be at Quail Hollow. That course hosted the Wells Fargo Championship the past two decades. Rory's a 4 time winner of that event, including in 2024.

There was nothing about TJ Edwards performance in 2024 which indicated he merited an extension. The Kyler Gordon extension makes a lot of sense. This one doesn't for the Bears.

I just don't see the value for the Bears taking a TE at 10 so he can be the third receiving option in their offense.

Lions offense in 2024: Jared Goff throws for over 4,600 yards TE Sam LaPorta was the third option in the passing game and finished with 726 receiving yards and 7 TDs. Pretty good but not superstar production. Bears taking a TE at 10 would be a poor use of resources IMO.

Your. Comment. Doesn't. Make. Sense. The Lions offense was prolific in 2024 and their 3rd option in the passing game barely got over 700 yards. Even if the Bears offense was that level in 2025 (unlikely), it speaks to how unwise spending pick 10 on a TE would be.

This is a great question. Probably depends on whether you love one of the LT, DT, or Edge guys at that spot.

The number 1 goal of today for the Chicago Bears is whoever they end up drafting in round one has to become a future superstar. Not a solid player. A true difference maker, franchise player type. However they go about doing it, that has to be the outcome! #NFLDraft

Different teams have different draft goals. Sometimes they prioritize getting a game changer. Other times it's about accumulating more draft capital. Then there's times where it's about addressing specific needs and depth.

Personally I think of Ashton Jeanty like a somewhat souped up Maurice Jones-Drew.

2023: Cardinals gave up 12, 34, and 168 to Lions for 6 and 81. 2021: Dolphins gave up 12, 123, & 2022 1st to Eagles for 6 and 156. Not the same exact slotting but close enough for comparison. Don't think Bill's wildly off but likely another pick or two involved to mitigate risk.
