For the past two years I have made an origami butterfly for every woman killed by a man in the UK. Dr Karen Ingala Smith was the woman who collected the names and numbers. She has been counting for 10 years from today.

I don’t know who needs to hear this this January but: the body is not a project. Your body doesn’t exist to be in photos. It not the “before” waiting for the “after”. You don’t need to objectify the body in order to to look after it. Personify it. You wouldn’t be here without it.

Amazing! Never put an age limit on the things you might one day do! As a young disabled person, I often had to put “later” on many of my goals. I love hearing about women who did things “later”, too.
