After the recent confrontation on social media, largely attributed to disparaging remarks by Prez Muizzu's ministers against PM Modi & India in general, the Maldives tourism industry is badly missing Indian tourists.

There is a massive 41% decline in Y-to-Y arrivals.

India has now slipped to the 6th spot from 1st in 2023 on the Maldives foreign arrivals charter.

Note that the Indian govt hasn't even played out any official policy to restrict tourists. It's an organic decline in the solidarity support for the country.

The Maldives tourist body is planning to hold roadshows in India.

Indians don't hold any hard feelings for common Maldivians. This mess is created by Muizzu's 'India Out' and perceived pro-China policies. For his egoistical political gains, common Maldivians are suffering.
