A rare classical tantric technique (vs the many modern neo-tantric ones) about sex. It's from a 10th-c. manual of simple embodied practices for connecting to our essence nature, several of which focus on a single sensation, like the taste of chocolate dissolving on the tongue.

Tantra teaches that we can use the power of attention, our concentrated awareness, to dissolve the mind and immerse ourselves into pure presence, into the infinite field of awareness from which all things arise, achieving feelings of bliss, through the most ordinary experiences.

Sex, when practiced with intention, becomes sacred. So does chopping vegetables, eating, washing dishes, scrubbing toilets, and any other human activity. We often long for transcendence or think it's the peak of spirituality. But *integration* offers more lasting joy.

I'm beyond grateful to be recognized this way. Emily, Melissa, and Jessie discussing the history of harm done in the name of tantric massage and how listening to me restored their belief in the potential for it to be a genuinely spiritual experience literally brought me to tears.

Two years ago today, I was fortunate to survive a medical crisis. Even before that direct confrontation with my mortality, I viewed my life as a gift and sought to make the most of it. My sacred calling is embodied connection. Let’s savor the sweet nectar of existence. Together.
