How did Romans clean their ears?👂🧐 Introducing the #Roman Toilet Spoon! This tool could be used for grooming, hygiene, makeup, and even surgery. Found at a Roman villa site Earth Trust, this #artefact shows how advanced personal care was even 2,000 years ago! 🏺✨

One of our favourite finds from a #Roman villa at Earth Trust: a copper bracelet, first an adult's, then resized for a child. A possible family heirloom from a Romano-British home near Wittenham Clumps. A small artefact with a great story🏺✨


🦉✨Spot the owl hidden owl in this Roman comb! The little ring-and-dot motifs make the eyes, while the comb teeth form delicate feathers. We found three examples of these bone combs in burials associated with the Roman villa at Earth Trust.
