Afghan allies, who have already been vetted and approved, continue to face severe danger due to delays. This is costing lives. We respectfully urge Hon. President Donald J. Trump & Marco Rubio to uphold their commitment, grant exemptions from the executive order, and resume flights and aids.

I completely agree with Hon. Michael McCaul that we need to put America first and cut wasteful spending, but abandoning our Afghan allies isn’t the way to do it. They risked their lives for us—we owe it to them to keep our promises. Hope Secretary Marco Rubio does the right thing.
