Excited to be back!

Whenever I wonder about the value of Twitter/X, I get a day like today, when experts who know exactly how comic scripts should be written, as well as what artists want, crawl from the woodwork to educate the unenlightened masses, me included. What a delightful age we live in.

THE BAT-MAN: FIRST KNIGHT #2 hits the racks this week. Gritty noir storytelling from ⁦DC⁩’s Black Label imprint, with brilliant art and color from Mike Perkins and Mike Spicer. Lettering by Simon Bowland and variant covers by Marc Aspinall and Sebastian Fiumara.

Does anyone remember the Warner Stores? There were times when they commissioned DC artists for exclusive lithographs—always fun projects. In this case, to tie in with Reign of the Supermen. Inks by Brett Breeding.

Affleck/Brady “Dunkin” ad was best one of the first half. Most of the others seem uninspired.

When that ball was in the air I thought it was locked in as an interception. Stunned to see it resulted in a TD.

The magic ticket to Super Bowl ad success: Monkeys. Dressed like and outperforming humans, in the workplace, etc. Some kind of ironic twist at the end. Always works.
